USMLE

Prep for USMLE
A website about preparing for the USMLE. It has web forums for discussing the different topics of the USMLE parts 1, 2, and 3. "resources, questions, books, usmle forum", the tagline says it all.

Third Year

Embryology: Cardiovascular Embryology Animations
This is the website most worth visiting. It is a website showing the embryology of the cardiovascular system in very nicely explained animations. You don't need to pre-read any book, just sit there and watch. I answered all the embryology MCQ's about the cardiovascular system with ease, just by watching these movies. I'm telling you, you have to visit this website.

Biochemistry: Metabolic Pathways of Biochemistry
Contains images of the various metabolic pathways, showing them step by step with the enzyme responsible for each step.

Biochemistry: THE Medical Biochemistry Page
This is the most relevant biochemistry website I have found for our courses. The material in the website is very similar to our study and almost in the same order. It is also very concise and clear. It will not waste your time.

Physiology: A.C.Brown
Dr. Brown's website is the best website I've seen about respiratory physiology. Make sure that you solve all the MCQ questions on the website then read the answers and UNDERSTAND why they are the correct answers.

Physiology: Dr. Mario's Section
If you can't find the time to read Dr. Mario's renal note then try to get the outlines from his section on Dr. Brown's website. It has been updated lately to include outlines for the Acid-Base Balance part too. (21 + 15 pages for renal + acid-base is very cool!).
NOTE: Don't try to reach this section from Dr. Brown's homepage. It will take you to an outdated version of Dr. Mario's section that doesn't contain the Acid-Base outlines.

Anatomy: Anatomy Tables (UAMS Department of Anatomy)
This website nice tables for bones, muscles, arteries, and others for different regions of the body. Mentions lots of structures with some concise theoretical information. Very useful for a revision in the dissection room.

Histology: Blue Histology
The notes section in this website is nice. Shows nice histological images together with some text. But I'd rather use the official CD and LaserDisk.
